“[Name], are you here?” A German man asked in a small, abandoned warehouse.
A female voice quietly called back. “Right here Luddy.” She had been hiding behind some crates. The woman hiding was you. You were a young jewish girl that was secretly saved by a nazi by the name of Ludwig.
He had saved you several months ago from being taken away to a concentration camp; his reason was that he loves you. You were not really too sure of that at first because of his duty as a nazi, but he eventually gained your complete trust. He sent you to this warehouse because some of the others were becoming very suspicious of his home life. Even though you seemed save, there will still doubts about the future between you two.
Ludwig had to face the fact that he would never be able to marry you. You had to face the fact that you would never be truly safe; even with Ludwig by your side.
The blonde male got closer to you and wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug. “I’m so glad that you’re okay.” He planted a quick kiss on your lips.
“I’m so glad I get to see you again.” You said as you hugged him back. There was a short pause. “Luddy?”
“What is it?”
“We’re not going to be able to keep this up for much longer, are we?”
“Maybe... Maybe not... I’m not completely sure [Name].” You buried your face in his chest; trying your best not to cry.
“I... I hope that one day we’ll actually be able to be together. Without the fear of something bad happening to me or you.” A small smirk appeared on Ludwig’s face. The way that you mostly liked to stay positive made him smile.
You lifted your head from his chest. “Hopefully [Name]... I already have a plan for if the both of us make it through this.”
You became curious of this plan. “What are going to do?”
Ludwig pulled his arms away from you and reached into his pocket. He quickly went on one knee before he took his hand out of the pocket; he pulled out a small box. You started to tear up; now understanding what he wanted to do.
“[Name]...” He cleared his throat before continuing. “If we make it through this til the end.” He opened the box to reveal a ring. “Would you marry me?”
You glomped him before burst into tears of joy. “Yes, of course!”
